Get Lucky, Gocho Style
In Venezuela, thereβs a plant you can find almost anywhereβby the roadside, in backyard gardens, even pushing through cracks in the pavement. The locals call it Cariaquito Morado. Itβs not just beautifulβitβs believed to guard against misfortune, sweep away the mala vibra, and turn the winds of fate in your favor.
Our Cariakito coffee carries that same protective spirit. Grown high in the misty slopes of Santa Cruz de Mora in MΓ©rida, the Villanueva variety thrives in fertile Andean soils, nurtured by crisp mountain air and a unique microclimate shaped by the MocotΓes Valley. Each bean is steeped in the same quiet resilience as the Cariaquito itselfβever-present, unyielding, and full of hidden magic.
Once it crosses the Atlantic to Lisbon, we roast it in small batches to reveal its inner light: floral notes that bloom like dawn, smooth vanilla that wraps the palate, and the gentle caress of white chocolate.
More than a drink, Cariakito is a charm you can sipβrooted in the everyday magic of Venezuela.

WASHED PROCESS
The washed process, also known as the wet process, involves removing the fruit from the coffee bean before fermentation. After fermentation, the beans are thoroughly washed to remove all residues, resulting in a clean and bright flavor profile that highlights the coffee's inherent characteristics.
